Still alive

Just a quick post to let people know I’m alive. I’ve had a few queries about why I haven’t written anything in a while. I’m really chuffed that so many people are still reading this and its great to know you care. However, nothing whatsoever should be read into my lack of blogging activity. I’m no longer travelling so its quite likely I’ll blog less often as less is happening. Just settling into my flat and about to start a teaching job on Monday. I’m only going to post to the blog when I have something interesting to say and at the moment its just life as normal, which includes getting through a box set of the Sopranos (series 1-5). That said I am not being a total recluse and have been out having fun too.

Kind of fearful about Monday as I haven’t taught English in quite a while but it should hopefully go alright.

Its absolutely freezing at the moment. Because Kunming is “Spring City” they don’t bother with central heating. And I’ve almost finished the bottle of single malt I bought at Heathrow airport a couple of months ago, pretty good going I think.

For those of you I emailed about skype (which I think was most of my friends, if not please forward it on), that London based Skype-IN number is a real london number. It absolutely won’t cost you any more than it would to call a london number, and yet it’ll connect to my skype account, so if I’m online we can speak. If I’m offline it should divert to my mobile. So get calling.

Anyway, thats all for now. I’ll write more when I’ve got something to say.

I’ve looked up the temperatures in Kunming. It may be cold at night but its 17 degrees C in the day time – that’s virtually summer here. We are freezing here all the time.

no, you just looked on a good day. its actually not bad today, the first day in a week i haven’t needed thermal underwear. besides london is only cold outside. you spend most of your time indoors where you have central heating, so nerrr!

Hey gergie, have just sent you a long rambling email about me and Russell’s holiday in Egypt which has been quite eventful.
Sorry to hear you are cold but keep drinking the whisky and going out raving – that should help! Teaching will be fine – its like riding a bike isn’t it?!
Missing you lots, will call on SKYPE on my return.
    Love and hugs,

Brilliant site Greg. Have really enjoyed reading it. I don’t know how you have found time to write it.

So don’t leave us all in suspense…how’s the teaching going? I’m just about to finish my first term of teacher training I’ve been placed in the nursery. What a hoot! Hope you are doing well! Love and hugs, LC x
